An opportunity to combine your studies with gymnastics training
Our Gymnastics Academy at Shoreham Academy 6th form is a unique collaboration that enables students to access additional training alongside their studies to enhance their level of gymnastics. This course is fully supported by the school and is free to join for Shoreham Academy students. The programme offers 2 pathways:
GENERAL GYMNASTICS, TUMBLING & ACROBATICS
This pathway offers 1-2 training sessions per week with qualified iSTAR Academy coaches. Students on this programme work on learning new skills in acrobatics and tumbling using the
HIGH PERFORMANCE RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS
This pathway is for rhythmic gymnasts who are competing at elite and international level. Gymnasts on this programme can access additional training hours, multiple times per week. Sessions run in small groups on a full rhythmic carpet and are coached by Olympian and national coaching team member Lynne Hutchison.
